Flat forging machine is a machine for forging the ends of bars and pipes in the horizontal direction. The flat forging machine has 3 kinds of motion mechanisms. The punch (punch) reciprocates in the horizontal direction, and generally 4 to 6 mold holes can be set up. It is used as the forming mechanism for upsetting processes such as forging, upsetting, punching, and flanging, and it is also the main force applying mechanism.Movable die: It can be opened and closed up, down or laterally to hold the long bar and withstand the upsetting force at the end.Cutting mechanism: Used to separate the forgings from the long bar.Flat forging machines are driven by a crank slider mechanism. Due to the large processing workpiece, upsetting force and clamping force, the machine needs to have sufficient stiffness to ensure the accuracy of flat forgings.
Before the flat forging machine starts, the bar is placed in the mold bore of the fixed concave mold, and the front fixing plate is positioned to determine the length of the deformed part of the bar. Then, step down the pedal to make the clutch work. The crank-cam mechanism of the flat forging machine guarantees that it works in the following order: during the progress of the main slider, the side slider drives the movable die to quickly clamp the bar, the front plate recedes, and the punch comes into contact with the hot blank, and it produces plastic deformation until it is filled with mold bore. When the machine returns, the sequence of movement of each part is: the punch exits from the die, the movable die returns to its original position, the punch returns to the recovery position, and the forgings are removed from the die.
